Cowboys Lead Lions At Half, 20-3

At halftime in Arlington, the Dallas Cowboys have already scored twice as many touchdowns against the Lions than they did a week ago against the Washington Redskins, and lead the 3-0 Lions by a score of 20-3.

Dez Bryant has three catches for 37 yards and two touchdown receptions, one in the first, and one in the second quarter. Recently signed Laurent Robinson is currently leading the Cowboys in receiving, however, with four grabs for 85 yards.

If you couldn’t tell from the above stats, quarterback Tony Romo has come out hot today, completing 19 of 24 passing in the first half for 195 yards and two TDs.

The Cowboys’ defense, who set the tone early with a Gerald Sensabaugh interception that would set up the Cowboys’ first touchdown, surrendered only a field goal in the first half, a 33-yarder from Jason Hanson in the fourth quarter.

Kicker Dan Bailey would make his second field goal of the day, his first being a 41-yarder earlier in the frame, as time expired on the half. A 35-yarder, Bailey’s second field goal extended the Cowboys’ lead to 20-3, where we stand at half.
