The Dallas Cowboys have done exactly what they were supposed to do over the last month — win games against inferior opponents.
This was the stretch when the Cowboys were supposed to surpass the New York Giants in the NFC East, winning four straight games for the first time in seemingly ever.
Now they'll be going for five straight on Sunday when they travel to the desert to face the Arizona Cardinals, which hasn't been a positive proposition for the Cowboys in recent years.
Go back to Christmas Day last season when the Cardinals beat the Cowboys 27-26 on a late field goal after a rousing comeback from the Cowboys, who fell into a 14-0 hole in the first quarter.
That was bad, but nothing tops 2008.
The Cowboys had a shot to go 5-1 out of the gates but left Arizona 4-2 after an overtime loss.
The Cardinals returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, Marion Barber had a thrilling 70-yard touchdown reception and Nick Folk kicked a game-tying field goal late to send the game to OT.

Matt McBriar's punt in overtime was blocked and returned a big 3 yards for a touchdown to win the game. Even worse, McBriar was knocked out with an injury on the play.
So yeah, the Cowboys are rolling right now, and the Cardinals are pretty bad. But never forget the trouble the University of Phoenix Stadium has given the Cowboys in the past. Proceed with caution.
