With Valley Ranch Under Ice, Practice Moved To Cowboys Stadium

As you might have noticed, the DFW area was hit by a wave of winter weather on Christmas Day

With the practice field at Valley Ranch suffering from the winter weather storm that hit the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Christmas Day, the Dallas Cowboys will practice under the roof at Cowboys Stadium on Wednesday.

It’s just not functional,” head coach Jason Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas. “It’s a sheet of ice.”

This is just the second practice all season that has been held away from team headquarters. Last week, the team moved it’s Thursday session to Highland Park High School due to high winds. It’s the first practice to be held at Cowboys Stadium in 2012.

Garrett said that Dallas didn’t have the proper equipment to prep the field at Valley Ranch, or they would have stayed put.
