Potential draft target, Pitt defensive tackle Aaron Donald isn’t sure whether the Dallas Cowboys’ signing of free agent Henry Melton this week will affect their interest in his services in the upcoming draft.
“You never know,” Donald told 105.3-FM The Fan, via the Dallas Morning News. “At the end of the day you never know what team still wants what player. You just never know with the draft.”
Donald has been a popular pick for Dallas at No. 16 overall on mock draft boards, with many experts predicting that he’d be a perfect fit in Rod Marinelli’s system. Last month, Dallas met with Donald at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
“Pretty much when I talked with the Cowboys, they wanted to get my football knowledge,” Donald said, “get to know about me and the way I play the game and the way I learned the game.”
