Waters Steps Into Starting Role

It appears that Brian Waters has taken full ownership of the starting job at right guard.

Waters started on Sunday and stayed in for the entirety of the game
, after platooning at the spot with Mackenzy Bernadeau in Weeks Three and Four. Waters was signed by the team back on September 3.

With the move, the Cowboys new offensive line is comprised of LT Tyron Smith, LG Ron Leary, C Travis Frederick, Waters and RT Doug Free. The 36-year-old Waters is the only member of that group with a Pro Bowl nod on his resume, and he has six of them.

Prior to Sunday, Waters’ last start came in February of 2012 in Super Bowl XLVI, as a member of the New England Patriots.
