Ware, Witten Support Jason Garrett, “100 Percent”

DeMarcus Ware and Jason Witten have joined Jerry Jones in vocally supporting Jason Garrett

Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has been unwavering in his support of head coach Jason Garrett.

While Jones’ opinion is the only one that really matters--you know, since he signs the checks and ultimately calls all the shots--the support of Garrett doesn’t stop there. Veteran captains Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware delivered some ringing praise for their head coach of the last three-and-a-half seasons this week.

“When you think about the thing that he brings to the team, him being a great leader to us, motivating us, each and every week no matter what the circumstance is, he’s had three seasons where he’s been 8-8 and not part of the NFC East championship, but that lets you know that he is there,” Ware told the team’s official website. “We do have opportunities and we can’t forget that. He’s a great coach and I’m behind him 100 percent.”

Judging by Witten’s comments, the level of commitment to Garrett seen in himself and Ware is by no means a rare thing in the locker room at Valley Ranch.

“I think the guys in this locker room would do anything for Coach Garrett,” Witten said. “We’re so fortunate to have him. You want to win for each other, but you also want to win for a guy that pours everything into your football team for a head coach and gives you every opportunity.”
