Ware Not Worried About Stingers

DeMarcus Ware has been limited all week in practice with a stinger

Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware is riding a streak of two consecutive multi-sack games going into Week Four, but thanks to a stinger, he has been limited in practice all week. But Ware doesn’t believe the minor injury is anything to fret over.

I’m not worried about it at all,” Ware said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I go back out there and feel good.”

The most worrisome thing about the injury is that Ware has dealt with similar issues for much of the past two seasons. Due to this history, head coach Jason Garrett has said the team will be cautious in bringing Ware along.

“We just want to make sure we don’t go backwards on that,” Garrett said. “He’s been able to play really effectively in games and that’s just the way we’re handling it right now. Hopefully it gets better and we don’t have to do that throughout the year. It’s one of those contact things that happen and obviously if you play the position he plays there is contact on every play so you just try to minimize that.”
