Ware: “I Feel Better Than I Did the Last Two Years”

DeMarcus Ware joined the Denver Broncos after nine seasons with Dallas earlier this offseason

Now a Denver Bronco, Cowboys’ all-time sack-leader DeMarcus Ware is feeling refreshed and ready to begin the next chapter of his career.

Ware was let go by the Cowboys this offseason in a cost-cutting move, following a season in which he posted career-lows in tackles, with 40, and sacks, with six. He also missed three games, the first time in his career he’s been forced out of action due to injury.

But Ware says he’s healthier than he’s been in a good while.

I feel better than I did the last two years going into the season,” Ware told the Denver Post recently. “Stronger, faster. I feel flexible.”

Ware, who will turn 32 in a couple weeks, signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Broncos back in March, shortly after his release from the Cowboys.
