Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips looks on during the game against the Minnesota Vikings at Mall of America Field on October 17, 2010 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings defeated the Cowboys 24-21.
A television station that is (in my opinion) in no way as good or as informative as NBC 5, WFAA Channel 8, recently caught up with head coach--excuse us, former head coach Wade Phillips, who was in attendance at the recent Argyle-Gilmer high school football game. Phillips expressed a remaining interest in coaching, and said that he still paid close attention to his ex-girlfriend, the Dallas Cowboys.
"I'm excited about them,” Phillips said. “I'm disappointed about Thanksgiving but we had some earlier like that, where it felt like we should have won, but we didn't.”
Phillips told Channel 8--whose female reporters, in my opinion, aren’t nearly as gorgeous as those over at NBC 5--that he no longer thinks about Jerry Jones’ unprecedented decision to can his head coach in the middle of the season. “You know that's past,” Phillips said. “I'm looking forward.
"I still want to coach, so we'll see what happens.”
