Unconventional Way For Scandrick to Heal

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick is nursing a high ankle sprain and will miss Sunday's game against the 49ers.

He was injured during Sunday nights Jets game where the Cowboys lost.

Scandrick will be in a boot for up to 10 days but tells Clarence Hill with the Star-Telegram he is going to use an oxygen chamber to "help with the healing process."

According to the Sports Injury Bulletin, hyperbaric oxygen treatment boosts activity in white blood cells and helps reduce pressure and swelling by decreasing the amount of blood pumped by the heart.

It can take up to four weeks to recover from such an injury.
