UFC: Coming To JerryWorld?

One of the loudest ovations heard during Saturday night's Manny Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey fight came when Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, was shown in his ringside seat on the JerryTron.

White was present along with UFC chairman Lorenzo Fertitta to watch Pacquiao defeat Clottey over twelve rounds, and, according to a report by Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole, he was "extremely impressed" by Jerry's new digs. Afterward, White couldn't help but wonder at the potential of a UFC event at Cowboys Stadium.

According to the report, White has yet to contact Jerry Jones, but in all likelihood, he will reach out in the coming weeks.

It is unlikely that a potential event would be scheduled during football season; however, Iole said that between March and July of 2011, "count on a UFC card at Cowboys Stadium."

The UFC has made just one appearance in the area, in September of last year when UFC 103: Franklin Vs. Belfort came to the American Airlines Center.
