Titans' Fisher Impressed By Dez

Add Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher to those who have been impressed by the exploits of Cowboys’ rookie receiver Dez Bryant thus far. He, like us, was given particular pause by a non-catch in last Sunday’s 27-13 victory over the Texans, which would have gone for a touchdown, had the defender not forced Bryant’s feet out of bounds.

Also, like us, he doesn’t seem to care so much that, in the box score, the play was utterly forgettable. This is because just to get to that ball, Bryant had to out-jump Kareem Jackson, get his hands up, make an improbable catch and pull it in while doing a spinny-flippy-type move to the ground.

We weren’t mad about the non-catch; we were just really impressed. So was Fisher.

"He's a tremendous athlete,'' Fisher said, per the Dallas Morning News. "He's very explosive, very, very dangerous after the catch. In addition to that, he can make the tough catch. That catch he made that was called incomplete out of bounds on the goal line is one of the best catches I've seen in a number of years.

"He's a fearless, aggressive receiver. I think he's got tremendous upside.''
