100K Plus Expected to Greet Giants Sunday

A plan by Jerry Jones to pack the new Cowboys Stadium with at least 100,000 people for the first real NFL game appears complete.

Cowboys spokesman Brett Daniels said the team's standing-room "Party Pass" tickets, at $29 apiece, have sold out. The Cowboys aren't being any more specific than saying the standing-room total exceeds 20,000.

Combined with regular ticket sales in the 80,000-seat stadium, Dallas should challenge the NFL attendance record of 103,467 on Sunday night against the New York Giants.

The record was set Oct. 2, 2005, when San Francisco and Arizona played a regular-season game at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

The game will be aired on NBC 5 beginning at 7 p.m.
