Tebow Considering A Future In Politics?

Tim Tebow said in an interview this week that he wouldn't dismiss the possibility

We’re learning quite a bit about Tim Tebow this offseason. Yesterday, we found out he was a Cowboys fan as a kid, whose favorite player was Florida Gator-turned Cowboy Emmitt Smith. Today, we find out that Tebow may consider entering into politics following his NFL career.

Tebow said he wouldn’t dismiss the possibility in an interview with the Golf Channel this week, adding that his future could “possibly” involve a foray into politics.

"It could be something in my future,” Tebow said, per CBS News. “You know, it's something I also think about and definitely pray about."

Tebow woud hardly be the first NFL player to make the leap to politics, should he go that route after his career (and as you can see from the above photo, he already has the glad-handing part of it down). Guys like the late Jack Kemp, Steve Largent and Heath Shuler all made the transition. However, it is worth noting that an illustrious football career doesn’t always translate to political success.
