Tashard Choice Returns To Practice, Too

We posted yesterday on rookie running back DeMarco Murray, who will practice as a member of the Dallas Cowboys for the first time on Tuesday, after spending the opening weeks of training camp sidelined with a hamstring injury. As it turns out, he will be joined on Tuesday by Tashard Choice, who also had yet to practice in camp, as he sorted out a calf strain.

“I'm so excited to be able to practice,” Choice tweeted today. “It will feel like the 1st day of camp.Thank you Lord for ur strength and thanks for the prayers letgo”.

Many believed that Choice was in danger of losing his roster spot to Lonyae Miller. But with Miller’s stock now on the downswing, it appears that the Georgia Tech product is probably safe. We’re not sure what his role will be, because we’re never sure what his role will be (we’re not sure Choice does, either), but we do know that he will take a backseat to Felix Jones, who has been declared the team’s starter.

Murray, meanwhile, is even more of a mystery than Choice, if such a thing is possible. The Cowboys drafted him for his versatility as a runner, a blocker and a pass catcher at Oklahoma, but, of course, have yet to see him line up in an NFL practice, let alone a game.

That’ll change today.
