The Dallas Cowboys may have finally found their assistant offensive line coach.
According to Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema, via the Dallas Morning News, Steve Loney is headed to Dallas to work under Frank Pollack--who was promoted from assistant to offensive line coach after Bill Callahan departed for the position of o-line coach with the Washington Redskins.
Loney spent last season as the offensive line coach with the Razorbacks after serving as assistant o-line coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 and 2013. In the four seasons before that, Loney served as the St. Louis Rams’ offensive line coach.
Previously, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones suggested that former tackle Marc Colombo was the favorite to become the new assistant. Colombo spent last year working in the Cowboys’ personnel department.
