Six Titans Ruled Out For Friday

Jonathan Hutton, of TitansRadio.com, has reported that six Titans have been ruled out for Friday's preseason matchup with the Cowboys in Arlington, including starting right tackle, David Stewart (knee) and rookie cornerback/return man Ryan Mouton (ankle).

The list also includes rookie safety Nick Schommer (hamstring), linebacker Josh Stamer (groin), wide receiver Chris Davis (hamstring), and backup defensive tackle Jason Jones (foot).

Besides Stewart, Mouton, and possibly Jones, who had five sacks as a rookie in 2008 despite limited time, the injuries should have minimal effect on the game.

Davis has been greatly ineffective through his first two seasons in the league, as has the team's receiving corps as a whole, which explains in great part the Titans' reliance on the run.

Stamer is 31, and has seen only one start over six seasons in the NFL.

Conversely, Dallas will enter Friday much healthier than they did last week at Oakland. Roy Williams will play, in all likelihood, after suffering a sprained wrist during a practice last weekend, and cornerbacks Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins--who both missed the preseason opener--are scheduled to start.
