In the process of mulling the question of who is “America’s Team” this week--always a popular debate at this time of year, between mini-camps and training camp, when football-related stuff to talk about comes at a premium--the folks over at Fansided.com posted a poll on their Facebook page to gauge the feelings of John and Jane Q. Public.
One commenter answered simply, “Cowboys. Ask Siri. She’ll tell you.”
Siri, of course, is the so-called “intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator” built into later versions of the iPhone.
The Fansided crew took the aforementioned commenter’s advice and asked her, “Who is America’s Team?” And sure enough, as you can see in the above picture--we were too curious not to try it ourselves, of course--Siri responded with the roster for the Dallas Cowboys.
So there you have it. Recent middling or not, the Cowboys are still “America’s Team.” Now may we never speak of this issue again.
