Sean Lee Reacts To Joe Paterno's Death

Lee said in a statement this weekend that the coach had "a profound impact" on his life

Dallas Cowboys’ inside linebacker Sean Lee released a statement this weekend addressing the death of legendary Penn State head coach Joe Paterno on Saturday evening, after a battle with lung cancer.

In the release, Lee--who attended Penn State from 2005 to 2009--credits Paterno with having a great impact on his life on and off the football field.

"Coach Paterno had a great impact on my life, not only as a player, but as a person,'' Lee said, per the Dallas Morning News. "He coached with an incredible amount of passion and integrity, and I am very proud to have played for one of the greatest coaches in sports. My prayers go out to him and his family.

"Thank you Coach Paterno for the profound impact you had. You will never be forgotten."
