"Draft Twitter" has been buzzing about Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Carroo for weeks, so I was eager to see what the fuss was about. The former four-star recruit saw his first significant action as a wide receiver during his sophomore year, when he caught 28 passes for 478 yards and 9 TDs.
Carroo took a big leap forward in 2014 when he started 13 games and caught 55 passes for 1,086 yards and 10 TDs. He was suspended for a few games as a senior when he was charged with assault. He returned to the team when the charges were dropped an led the Big 10 in yards per reception and TDs on the way to being named the team's MVP.

Verdict: Third-Round Pick
Carroo is a tricky prospect and it's easy to see why he's so polarizing. It's easy to like him if you focus on his ability to separate, explosive production and physicality. It's easy to think he's just another guy when you focus on how he attacks the ball in the air and his lack of elite physical tools (especially after watching Corey Coleman and Josh Doctson).
Carroo probably has a floor as high as any prospect in this draft, but his lack of any elite trait limits his ceiling. All he did in college was separate, but I'm not sure he'll be able to do that as well on Sundays. He's a good value in the third round to a team that needs a second receiving option, but I think there are better fits for the Cowboys offense out there.
