Marshon Lattimore was quite a football player as an Ohio high schooler. In addition to being a top-10 cornerback recruit, he caught 16 TDs as a wide receiver and scored 3 more on special teams. As a senior, he was named Ohio's Division II Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and was a finalist for player of the game in the Under Armour All-America game.
The 4-star recruit was one of the top commits in Ohio State's 2014 class, but he missed the entire 2014 season after having surgery to repair a high school hamstring injury that never healed properly. He played in 7 games in 2015 before re-injuring his hamstring. When finally healthy in 2016, he registered 41 tackles, 4 INT (1 returned for TD) and 9 passes defended and was named first-team all-conference.

Verdict: First Round
I've been waiting to do this profile since Lattimore kept standing out while I was watching Malik Hooker. Lattimore's combination of electric feet, fluid hips and sound technique might be unmatched in this draft. Combine that with his route anticipation and former-WR hands, and he's the best pure cornerback prospect since Patrick Peterson.
Lattimore is exactly the type of cornerback needed in Dallas. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, he'd upgrade any secondary in football and will likely be gone well before the 28th pick. Barring an unexpected drop or an unwise trade up, Lattimore won't be a Cowboy.
