Scandrick: “Quite Frankly, I Think I Played Bad”

Cornerback Orlando Scandrick was disappointed with his performance in Sunday's overtime win

The mood in the visitors locker room at FedEx Field following the Cowboys’ overtime win over the Redskins on Sunday was understandably happy, but this gaiety didn’t extend to cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who was less than thrilled with his individual showing in the win.

Scandrick did come up with his first interception of the year on Sunday, but he was also charged with two defensive holding penalties, one of which came as the Redskins’ drove 89 yards on the Dallas defense for the game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter.

After the game, Scandrick assessed his performance sans any sugarcoating.

“I didn’t play my best game,” Scandrick said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Quite frankly, I think I played bad. Made a big play, but a couple penalties, a couple penalties, a couple missed assignments, a couple misalignments and they’re right back in the game.”
