S Matt Johnson Put on IR, Has Surgery

Drafted in 2012, Johnson has still not played in a regular season game

A couple days ago, the Dallas Cowboys revealed that oft-injured second-year safety Matt Johnson was still dealing with those pesky injuries--this time a stress reaction to a bone near the ankle--and that Johnson would head to the injured reserve, ending his season before it started for the second consecutive year.

Johnson revealed Tuesday via Twitter that he had undergone surgery to repair the, uh, reaction.

Anyway, Johnson has still yet to play a regular season game in the NFL after being drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2012 Draft. He missed all of his rookie season due to hamstring issues and, after having an apparently impressive training camp early on, got hurt early in the preseason.
