Romo: Jason Garrett “Loves This Football Team”

Jason Garrett is earning a lot of praise in the wake of an emotional victory in Cincinnati

Head coach Jason Garrett has received his fair share of criticism in his time as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, but there hasn’t been much in the wake of an emotional 20-19 win over a good Bengals team, just a day after the team learned of the tragic events that left practice squad linebacker Jerry Brown dead and nose tackle Josh Brent in jail.

Leading the praise of Garrett in the wake of the victory was none other than quarterback Tony Romo.

Jason loves this football team,” Romo said. “He loves the guys he coaches. He appreciates the effort and commitment everyone makes.

“I’m proud to have him as my head coach.”

Garrett’s Cowboys are now 7-6, a game back of the NFC East-leading New York Giants, their playoff hopes still alive. Dallas will face the Steelers, the Saints and the hated Washington Redskins in their final three games.
