Romo Insists He'd Find a Way to Play if Cowboys Made Playoffs

Tony Romo has been out since breaking his collarbone for a second time in two months on Thanksgiving

The Dallas Cowboys’ 2015 season came to an end on Sunday, with a 33-24 loss to the Redskins at AT&T Stadium.

But if their season wasn’t over, if they had been good enough to win the NFC East in the absence of Tony Romo—and this looked not probable, but at least possible for awhile, with the entire division playing as inconsistently as they were—if the Cowboys were gearing up for a first round playoff game, Romo believes he would figure out a way to play in that game.

Bear in mind that Romo suffered two collarbone fractures in the span of about two months this season, the last coming not that long ago, on Thanksgiving Day.

I would have figured out a way obviously to get back out there,” Romo said, per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. “That’s what we play the game for, playing those games. It’s disappointing that we’re not in that part of it right now. Believe me we’re going to do everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

As has been widely reported, Romo might have a plate attached to the collarbone to prevent future injuries there this offseason.
