Romo, Cowboys Looking at a Long Bye Week

The Cowboys will have nearly two weeks to think about their 34-18 loss to the Bears

Whether or not they were all his fault (and at least two of them were not), Tony Romo threw five interceptions in the Cowboys’ Monday night loss to the Bears, which ties a career high. The performance was bad enough to convince Romo that he needs to go back to the drawing board in some areas, an idea that we imagine is pretty popular around Valley Ranch following an ugly loss with very few bright spots.

To make matters worse, Dallas is now on their bye week, meaning they have a good long while to think about the kick to the teeth that was the Bears game.

It’s going to sit there in your stomach and just eat at you,” Romo said, per the Dallas Morning News. “In different situations out there where you’re trying to do too much and help out different areas, I think that is going to catch up to you at some point in the National Football League.

“I’m going to have to reassess a couple of things that are happening and make sure that they don’t happen again.”
