Romo Confident in Offensive Line

Four days to the opener, the Cowboys' offensive line still isn't set in stone

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is confident in his offensive line, even though he’s not exactly sure what that line will look like just yet.

The likely starting five are Tyron Smith at left tackle, Mackenzy Bernadeau at left guard, Travis Frederick at center, Ronald Leary at right guard and Doug Free at left tackle. But Free also could play right guard against the Giants, a scenario in which Jermey Parnell would slide over to right tackle.

Dallas also just signed Brian Waters this week, a veteran guard that will likely take over a guard spot--or step in as a swing guard--once he gets back into football shape. But that’s probably not going to happen in time for Week 1.

“I think you’ve just got to trust your offensive line and then you adjust obviously as the game moves on,” Romo said, per ESPN Dallas. “But if you go into it thinking some guy’s not going to do his job then that doesn’t help anybody and you find yourself trying to do too much. I don’t think you can do it that way.”
