Going into the Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Eagles, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo isn’t thinking about his back.
Romo missed the last meeting between the Eagles and Cowboys, in Week 17 of last year, as he was fresh off surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back. Now, he’s dealing with two transverse process fractures in that same back, though he has only missed one game due to the injury.
“You don’t really think about it,’’ Romo said, per the Dallas Morning News. “You just go and play. I mean, everyone has something wrong with them during the football season. We say it all the time. Once you step on the field no one cares what you have. You’ve got to go produce. Our job is to play well regardless of what’s going on around you. That’s our job as players.”
Romo certainly has been playing well this season. In 10 games, Romo is completing better than 68 percent of his passes and has put up 22 touchdowns to six interceptions. His passer rating is 111.4.
