Rolando McClain Returns After Fire

McClain was absent for unclear reasons on Wednesday

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain was present for the team’s practice on Christmas Day, after missing the team’s workout session on Wednesday, Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Initially, it was reported that McClain had gone to Alabama to get his affairs in order after a massive fire destroyed his Tuscaloosa home. But head coach Jason Garrett said Thursday that that wasn’t the case--that he was in North Texas the whole time--which means we don’t really know why he was absent earlier this week.

In other practice news, running back DeMarco Murray, right tackle Doug Free and linebacker Dekoda Watson were held out on Thursday. Murray returned to practice today.
