After leading the team in tackles in each of the first two games of 2014, it looks like linebacker Rolando McClain will be held out of this Sunday’s matchup with the Rams in St. Louis with a groin injury.
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones confirmed to 105.3-FM The Fan on Friday that McClain is being considered doubtful going into the weekend.
“Well, you’ll miss him,” Jones said, via the team’s official website. “On the other hand, I think you can expect him probably not to play, but he won’t tell you that. We’re not sure when he had this injury--he might have had it early in the game. If you listen to him, he wants to play and thinks he might play, but we have him as doubtful, of course.”
Through two games as a member of the Cowboys, McClain has 15 tackles, a sack and an interception.
