Rob, Rex Ryan Inducted To Southwestern Oklahoma State Hall of Fame

The Ryan brothers attended SWOSU from 1981 to 1986

The Ryan brothers’ teams went 0-for-2 on playoff berths in 2011, but their accomplishments thus far, in the NFL and the college ranks, did get them induction into the Southwestern Oklahoma State Athletic Hall of Fame last weekend.

Rex and Rob were honored in a ceremony on SWOSU’s campus in Weatherford, Oklahoma on Saturday night. Both attended SWOSU from 1981 to 1986, and both were defensive ends on the Bulldogs’ football team. The year after graduation, both began coaching careers that would eventually lead them to the NFL.

Rob, of course, just finished his first year as defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys while Rex just completed his third season as head coach of the New York Jets. As you might recall, Rex’s Jets beat Rob’s Cowboys in the regular season opener last year at MetLife Stadium.
