Report: Texans Are Getting A Bigger Videoboard Than The JerryTron

The videoboard at Cowboys Stadium will soon lose its title as the largest in football

Well, we canโ€™t imagine Jerry Jones is happy about this news.

The Harris County Sports and Convention Corp. have reportedly approved a measure that will provide upgrades to the Texansโ€™ Reliant Stadium--one of which will be the addition of a videoboard that will be the biggest in the state--ie., bigger than the famed JerryTron at JerryWorld.

Of course, the JerryTron was the biggest HD screen in the free world (as documented by Guiness) before being overtaken by the screen at Charlotte Motor Speedway. According to the write-up in todayโ€™s Dallas Morning News, the Texans are hoping to land the Super Bowl in 2017.

If the screen is anywhere close to as buzzworthy as the JerryTron was--and really, still is for folks visiting Cowboys Stadium for the first time--this will help them some in that pursuit.
