Report: Rob Ryan Makes It Official With Rams

Ryan will take over as defensive coordinator in St. Louis in 2013

A few weeks after it was first reported, it looks like ousted Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has finally agreed to join the St. Louis Rams in the same role.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news on Thursday evening, via--where else?--Twitter.

A little longer than five minutes but still...” Schefter wrote, in reference to Ryan’s boast, following his dismissal from Dallas, that he wouldn’t be out of work for more than five minutes. “Rams hired former Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan as their defensive coordinator.”

With the deal, Ryan joins the staff of Jeff Fisher, who has a long history with the Ryan family. Fisher both played for and coached under Rob’s father, the legendary Buddy Ryan.
