Report: Laurent Robinson Will Visit Jacksonville Tonight

Robinson emerged to lead the Cowboys in TD receptions in 2011

According to a source in contact with the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Cowboys’ free agent wide receiver Laurent Robinson is scheduled to meet with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday night.

Robinson spent a couple of seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, who selected him in the third round of the 2007 draft, and a couple with the St. Louis Rams. He was among the San Diego Chargers’ final cuts last year, before joining the Cowboys, where he emerged to lead the team in touchdown receptions with 11. All told, Robinson caught 54 passes for 858 yards in 2011.

As Brandon George of the Morning News points out today, Jacksonville could be a tempting destination for Robinson, as he is a native of Florida, and his mother lives just a couple hours south of Jacksonville.
