Report: Jets Hire Gailey as OC

One of the few mistakes Dallas Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones will actually admit he made was when he parted ways with former head coach Chan Gailey after just two years following the 1999 season.

Gailey went on to have varying levels of success as an assistant and then as a head coach again in Buffalo from 2010-2012, when he was let go.

He hasn't worked in the NFL since, but now that's apparently changing as numerous reports say the New York Jets and their new head coach Todd Bowles will hire Gailey as the offensive coordinator, which seems to be a great fit given Gailey's love of the running game and the two-headed rushing attack in New York of Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory.

It's a bit surprising he hasn't had a job in a couple of years, but his unemployment didn't last long.
