Report: Eagles' DeSean Jackson Done For The Year

The Eagles' will be without their leading receiver in next Sunday night's matchup with Dallas

It’s hard to imagine the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 season getting any worse.

Philadelphia lost their seventh straight game on Monday Night to the less-than-stellar Panthers and, if that wasn’t enough of a blow, it’s been reported since that game that DeSean Jackson will likely miss the rest of the season after suffering multiple rib fractures against Carolina.

For the purposes of this blog, this means that the Eagles will be without their leading receiver when they travel to Cowboys Stadium next Sunday night. Running back LeSean McCoy might miss as well as he continues to recover from a concussion-- ditto for quarterback Michael Vick, who hasn’t played since the first half of the teams’ first meeting, a Cowboys’ win.

The Eagles scored the season sweep of the Cowboys a year ago. Now, as rough as the season has been for Dallas in their own right, it appears that they’ll have a prime chance to return the favor. Maybe. One can't really take anything for granted with these Cowboys.
