Report: Cowboys Will Hire Gary Brown as RBs Coach

It appears that the Dallas Cowboys may be on the verge of completing their new-look coaching staff.

Citing an unnamed source, ESPN Dallas is reporting today that the Cowboys will hire Gary Brown as their new running backs coach. Brown, formerly the running backs coach for the Cleveland Browns, will replace Skip Peete. Peete was the first in a wave of firings throughout the Dallas coaching staff in early January, released with a year left on his deal, and has since found a new home in Chicago.

Brown played eight seasons in the NFL, with the Oilers, Chargers and Giants. He began his coaching career at Lycoming College in 2003, before moving on to Susquehanna University and then, in 2008, Rutgers. Brown then broke into the NFL, taking over as the Browns' running backs coach under Eric Mangini in 2009, where he stayed through the 2012 season.

With the hire, Dallas has no coaching vacancies remaining.
