Report: Cowboys Tender P Chris Jones, RB Lance Dunbar

Dunbar and Jones both came to Dallas undrafted free agents

The Dallas Cowboys have tendered punter Chris Jones and reserve running back Lance Dunbar, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Jones has been with the Cowboys since 2011 and has been the full-time starter since 2013. For his career, he has an average of a little over 45 yards a punt.

Dunbar came to the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas in 2012 and has 633 all-purpose yards in his three seasons. He’s still waiting on that first NFL touchdown, but had 99 yards on 29 carries last year.

Both tenders are worth $1.542 million.
