Report: Cowboys Meet With Long Snapper L.P. Ladoucer's Agent

Ladoucer has been with the Cowboys since 2008

With the Dallas Cowboys working toward re-signing big names like quarterback Tony Romo and linebacker/defensive end Anthony Spencer, we’ll forgive you if you don’t find news concerning a new deal for long snapper L.P. Ladoucer all that titillating. But alas, we have some.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys met with Ladoucer’s agent in Indianapolis on Thursday. Representatives for the team are in town for the NFL Scouting Combine.

2012 marked the final season of a five-year deal signed by Ladoucer back in 2008, and in that span, he’s become one of the league’s more dependable long snappers, both in terms of the quality of his snaps and his health. As Archer points out, this latter fact might be especially attractive to new special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia, as he dealt with injuries at the position while in San Diego.
