Alabama prosecutors are dismissing charges against Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain stemming from his arrest in a park in his hometown in 2013.
Court records show prosecutors asked a judge Monday to end the case against the 25-year-old.
McClain was arrested in April 2013 when police in Decatur, Alabama were trying to clear a crowd that had gathered for a softball game.
He allegedly cursed at officers and pulled away as they tried to arrest him.
McClain was convicted on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in city court last year and appealed to state court for another trial.
The case was set for trial May 18 when prosecutors asked the court to dismiss the charges. No reason is given in court documents.
