Pranked: Payton Has Some Fun At Jerry's Expense

After spending three seasons in Dallas, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton knows well that his former employer Jerry Jones enjoys a good joke. He also enjoys a nice bottle of wine.

According to a recent story by SI's Peter King (per the DMN), Jones has a particular affinity for Caymus Special Selection cabernet sauvignon, going so far as to call ahead to the St. Elmo Steakhouse--a swanky Indianapolis restaurant, where the Dallas staff convenes for a team dinner each Combine--and reserve a bottle.

This would have been fine, but Payton and the Saints had a team dinner at St. Elmo the night before--and ordered the one and only bottle of Caymus Special Selection cab. The waiter refused at first, but Payton persisted and, eventually, won out. Such is the life of a Super Bowl winning head coach.

But Payton wasn't finished quite yet.

When Dallas's staff entered the private room at St. Elmo the next night, they found an empty magnum of Caymus with a note scrawled on the label:

WHO DAT!
World Champions XLIV
Sean Payton

Apparently, no one on the Dallas staff was too perturbed at the lack of Caymus cab at their team dinner, as many of them, including Jerry, were seen joking with Payton over drinks later that night.
