Hardy is an interesting case for Cowboys free agency targets for one glaring reason. Hardy was a stud in the Panthers' season opener against Tampa Bay, but then he was suspended for domestic charges brought upon him and didn't play another game all season.
On Monday, those charges against Hardy were dropped. The Panthers have also made it known they are finished with Hardy.
With that said, the Cowboys seem to have made a concerted effort to clean up their image in recent years, despite employing Josh Brent. Other than Brent's case, which was unique, the roster has been comprised of guys who keep their noses clean and out of trouble (well, except for that backup running back).
You have to wonder if the Cowboys would give serious thought to going after Hardy with his dirty laundry, but his on-field play more than speaks for itself. The Cowboys are looking to upgrade their pass rush, and Hardy would definitley do that. In 2012 and 2013 combined, Hardy piled up 26 sacks, and he's still in his prime at age 26.
