Potential Target: Alshon Jeffrey

In an ongoing thread of posts, we'll discuss potential free agent targets for the Dallas Cowboys coming off a 4-12 season, thanks in large part to several key injuries.

Target: Alshon Jeffrey, WR

2015 stats: 54 catches, 807 yards, 14.94 yard per catch, 4 TDs

Jeffrey battled through some injuries in 2015 along with being the big dog receiver in Chicago after the departure of Brandon Marshall in free agency.

After looking at his numbers in 2015 compared to the previous years with Marshall on the other side, it's plain to see Jeffrey excels when he isn't the lone focus of an opposing defense. Meanwhile, Dez Bryant has been an All-Pro while being just that opposite guys like Terrance Williams.

Jeffrey will be looking for a lot of money, and it'll be deserved, and it's hard to see the Cowboys being able to break the bank to get him, but if they can, it'd be an awfully formidable 1-2 punch out wide for the Cowboys and quarterback Tony Romo with Cole Beasley thrown into the mix in the slot.
