Playoff Hopes Inspired Dez To Put Off Surgery

Dez Bryant has a fractured finger but intends on playing Sunday

Dez Bryant has a fractured finger, that will require surgery. But he’s opted to put off the surgery until the Cowboys are out of the playoff picture. And as of now, they’re not.

"The position that we are in, that makes me want to be out there," said Bryant, per ESPN Dallas. "If there was anything less than what we got a chance of, I would have went ahead and got surgery."

Dallas is just a game back of the New York Giants in the NFC East at 7-6. Bryant, who suffered the fracture in the victory over the Bengals in Cincinnati last week--in which he caught a crucial second half touchdown--has 1,028 yards and nine touchdowns this season, both highs for the team.
