On Deck: New York Giants

On Deck will be here all season to provide you with everything you need to know (and a few things you don't) about every Cowboys game during the 2014 season.

The Opponent: Eli Manning threw a career-high five interceptions and the Giants lost to San Francisco by just six points. I'm not sure what that says about the 49ers, but it might point to the fact that the Giants did a lot of things well.

Past Meetings: The Cowboys lead the all-time series 60-43-2, including their 31-21 win over the Giants earlier this season.

Key Matchup: DAL CB Orlando Scandrick vs. NYG WR Odell Beckham โ€” Beckham has been really solid ever since making his season debut after missing the first few with an injury. He's immediately becoming Eli Manning's favorite target and has shown an insane amount of ability with his speed, hands and ability to go get any ball thrown his way. Scandrick is the Cowboys' physical presence on the outside and will likely spend a lot of time the Giants rookie.

Who's Hot: Dez Bryant is coming off one of the best quarters of football in NFL history, as he grabbed six catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns โ€” all in the second quarter of the Cowboys' win over Jacksonville in London two weeks ago. Tony Romo was also great, throwing for 246 yards and three scores while completing 20 of his 27 pass attempts.

While Manning was tossing picks, his receivers have been playing well. We already mentioned Beckham, who had 93 receiving yards on Sunday, and the Giants other star receiver, Rueben Randle, had 112 yards on seven catches.

Who's Not: Really not much to say here. Dan Bailey missed a field goal, so there's that.

Manning had one of the worst games of his career, throwing five interceptions to go with just one touchdown, while Rashad Jennings returned from injury to rush for just 59 yards on 18 carries against a stout 49ers defense.
