Officially Done For 2010, Romo Will Travel With Team

Normally, players on the injured reserve list do not travel with the Dallas Cowboys to road games, but in Tony Romo’s case, an exception has been made.

Romo will go to Arizona for the team’s Christmas Day match-up with the Cardinals along with his more healthy Cowboy brethren in order to stay, if not physically, mentally in tune with the Dallas offense; he will also head to Philadelphia for the team’s season finale against the Eagles on January 2.

"He has the headset on,” Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas. “He understands the plays that are being called and just communicates with Wade Wilson and with Jon Kitna and really with the other guys, too. He's played in this offense more than anybody has, so he has a real understanding of what we're trying to get accomplished.”

Romo suffered a fractured clavicle in the team’s loss to the New York Giants October 25, but has remained highly involved in team affairs ever since, aiding Jon Kitna and Jason Garrett in reading defenses and so forth. He was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.
