The Cowboys drafted DeMarco Murray in the third round of the NFL Draft.
The Dallas Cowboys have selected Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray with the 71st overall pick of the NFL draft.
The third-round selection had two 1,000-yard rushing seasons at Oklahoma and finished with 3,685 yards and 50 touchdowns. The speedy runner also had 157 career catches for 1,571 yards and 11 TDs.
Earlier Friday, the Cowboys took North Carolina linebacker Bruce Carter with the 40th overall pick in the second round.
Their first-round pick Thursday was offensive tackle Tyron Smith from Southern Cal with the ninth overall selection.
