Newhouse to Have Public Viewing, Reception This Week

Private funeral to be held Friday at 11 a.m.

Memorial services for former Dallas Cowboys great Robert Newhouse have been scheduled for Thursday.

Newhouse died last week at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota after a battle with heart disease.  He was 64.

He was a member of three Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl teams, including the winning team in 1977.

The public is invited to a visitation for Newhouse at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home at 7405 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

A private funeral service will be held Friday at Prestonwood Baptist Church at 11 a.m. A public reception will follow the service. The church is located at 6801 W. Park Boulevard in Plano.

Newhouse is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Dawnyel and Shawntel, and sons Rodd and Reggie, who played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2004-05.
