New Phillie & Cowboys Fan Michael Young Already Getting Guff For NFL Allegiances

Young was dealt from Texas to Philadelphia back in December

Longtime Texas Ranger Michael Young became an outspoken Cowboys fan in his 12 years in North Texas, but in December of last year, he was dealt to the Phillies. Of Philadelphia. Home of the Cowboys’ hated rivals, the Eagles.

Spring training has just opened, but Young said his allegiance has already been put to the test, via a run-in with a Philadelphia TSA agent upon his landing in the City of Brotherly Love.

“She saw my driver’s license says Dallas, and she looks at me and I thought she was going to call the cops on me,” Young said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I was checking my pockets to make sure I didn’t have a knife on me or anything. She asked if I was a Cowboys fan. I said, ‘Yeah.’ And she was pissed. She was not happy with that answer at all. So I basically just bolted, got through the TSA, sat there right next to the gate and just prayed that my flight would leave on time.”

We’re sure the saltiness had nothing to do with the Cowboys sweeping the Iggles in 2012.
