NFC East Watch: McCoy Predicts Huge Year for Foles

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles emerged as a Pro Bowler in 2013

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is predicting a huge year from quarterback Nick Foles.

This isn’t a terribly bold prediction, of course. With 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions in 2013, Foles set the NFL record for TD-INT ratio. He also led the league in passer rating, led the Eagles to a division championship and went to his first Pro Bowl--where he was named Pro Bowl MVP.

A nice campaign, to put it lightly. But McCoy believes his quarterback is destined for even bigger and better things in 2014.

"Nick, he wants to play, he wants to get better," McCoy said, per NJ.com. "He’s playing lights-out even in camp, but he still wants to be at a higher level. He’s at that peak where people know him like, ‘Man, this Foles, is he that good?’ Because you see the stats, you see the numbers. I think this is the year he blows ‘em out like, ‘Yeah, I’m Nick Foles. I’m Philadelphia’s quarterback. I’m the guy.’ And this is the year he blows it away."

The Eagles and Cowboys' first meeting of 2014 comes on Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium.
